John 14:3 (NLT) — 3 When everything is ready, I will come and get you, so that you will always be with me where I am.

Yesterday we looked at what isn’t going to be in heaven. I have to admit after writing that little article I am really looking forward to going to heaven. I really want to experience a place where there is no darkness at all. A place that is absolutely void of evil. A place where we will experience the fully ripe totally mature fruit of the Spirit.

Galatians 5:22–23 (NLT) — 22 But the Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in our lives: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, and self-control. There is no law against these things!

Heaven will be the green house where this fruit will come to maturity. There will be nothing to hinder its growth.

Jesus didn’t really say much about heaven. He didn’t go into great detail on what like was like there in the hopes that we would be enticed to want to be there. The only bait he used to attract us to heaven was that He and the Father would be there. OH MY! “Hold on to your hats” as they say.

When you think of our world think about how creative the Father, Jesus and the Holy Spirit are. Revelation talks about a new heaven and a new earth. In other words we ain’t seen nothin’ yet. I think we will be able to do all the things we are doing now and more and nothing will be tainted by sin! The motorcycles will be better, the food will be tastier, relationships will loving and trusting, we will be traveling, exploring, reading, learning, inventing, playing, and discovering all that God has for us. I have to be honest with you, one of things that I am looking forward to is to be able to sleep through the night:)

Remember that God is the one who put all of the stars in place and he knows them all by name. We will have all of eternity to get to know them all! I believe that Jesus wanted our minds to go wild with imagination and that is why he just said, “you will always be with me where I am.” Jesus knows what it is that will ‘trip our trigger’. I don’t think that sitting around strumming harps will be on the agenda

Psalm 31:19 (NLT) — 19 How great is the goodness you have stored up for those who fear you.

Be Inspired Hilltop!

  1. haha…I’m with you on sleeping through the night Pastor Dan! One of the things I look forward to is life with no headaches and my fruit to be fully ripened…hard to imagine. About the harp thing…musical instruments was never my strong suit so I’m relieved;)
