Isaiah 53:6 (NLT) — 6 All of us, like sheep, have strayed away. We have left God’s paths to follow our own. Yet the Lord laid on him the sins of us all.

How far can we wander from God’s path to follow our own way? How calloused can we become as human beings from following our own way? The following video tells of some teenage boys who filmed a man drowning. All they did was laugh at him and call him names. They refused to give him a helping hand. Florida law says you are not obligated to help another person in need. So these boys will not be charged with anything. They will go scot free.

Jesus was under no obligation to help us either while we were drowning in our sin our own wayness. And yet he came to our rescue and we will not be charged for our sins either! We will go scot free. Jesus took on himself the punishment that we deserved! Oh what a wonderful Savior we have!

And if any of these boys that watched that man drown will yield their lives to Jesus, they will be forgiven. Wow!

P.S. Tomorrow I will be heading out on a two week vacation and will not do the blog until I come back. Me and a friend will be leaving on our motorcycles at 4am Wednesday morning. Our trip includes some mountains in Colorado, Moab, Utah, north rim of the Grand Canyon, Death Valley, the Pacific Coast Highway, San Francisco, across Oregon, parts of Idaho, and Missoula Montana. Pray for safety and God encounters. I love you all, Pastor Dan
