John 14:27 (NLT) — 27 “I am leaving you with a gift—peace of mind and heart. And the peace I give is a gift the world cannot give. So don’t be troubled or afraid.

Last week on Wednesday I and a friend hopped on our motorcycles and road up to Grand Marais taking a route that led up to Ely and then to our destination. It was overcast and drizzly the whole way. We even had to go through some muddy road construction at Ely; however none of that dampened our spirits because we were riding!

When we got to Grand Marais we checked into our motel, unloaded our bikes, took showers and then went to a local restaurant for supper. I had a huge chicken and bean burrito that also came with a huge price tag > tourist season:(

While we were eating our waitress was waiting on a couple seated behind us. The man was placing his order and he asked if it was ok to substitute? Her response was, “No worries”. Like it’s no big deal I can handle it.

That is what I believe Jesus was saying when he said, “So don’t be troubled or afraid”. “No worries”. “Remain at ease, it’s no big deal, I can handle it”.

Be Inspired Hilltop!

P.S. So here is something funny. I usually do my blog a day ahead of time. So today is Tuesday, July 4th. Usually we have a staff meeting every Tuesday. So I texted Lori and told her that there would not be a staff meeting today. She texted back and said that was great because they were in Canada! I knew that but I had forgot. So I texted her and said, “I forgot”. And she texts back, “No worries. Happy Independence Day”.

I think that was a confirming word from the Lord and how he wants us to live each day > No worries, Happy Independence Day!
