1 Corinthians 1:30 (NLT) — 30 God has united you with Christ Jesus. For our benefit God made him to be wisdom itself. Christ made us right with God; he made us pure and holy, and he freed us from sin.

I love that first sentence which states that God has united me with Jesus. United means that God has placed me within Jesus. Now if God had placed me in water you would all know it because I would be wet. Or if he placed me in a mud puddle again you would know it because I would look like a mud ball. Or if God would have placed me in a room with 40 billion mosquitoes you would know it because I would be one big red itchy lump. Or if God would have place me in a bakery again you would know by the fresh baked bread smell that would be all over me.

We tend to take on the characteristics of what we have been place in. Now when God placed us in Jesus it means that we will continue to take on the characteristics of Jesus. His kindness will start to emanate from us. Our love for others will begin to grow. Our zeal for God will increase. More and more our hatred for sin will rise. We will have an increased appetite for God’s word and our pray time will increase and be more enjoyable. We will love being with our fellow brothers and sisters who are also in Christ. Our relationships will develop stronger bonds. We will trust more in God to make things right rather than our government.

Our productivity at work will increase. We will be more grateful for what we have instead of being sad over what we don’t have. Presents, lights, traditions trees, will fade in their importance at Christmas time. We will face our days with much more anticipation. We will worry less and give more. We won’t get too settled into this life because we know that this is only temporary  and the permanent is yet to come. We will be able to handle tragedy and trouble with peace and confidence. There will be very little in this life that will rattle us.

We will be able to claim divine health everyday because after all we are in Jesus. Did you get that. If we are in Jesus than we are placed into his health. No sickness resided in Jesus. We will have sound minds and be able to think clearly because Jesus had a sound mind and Jesus always had the ability to think clearly no matter what the situation. Even on the cross Jesus had the presence of mind to forgive and to let John know to take care of his mother. Our future is secure because we are in Jesus. The enemy cannot touch us because we are in Jesus.

Think about this concept of being in Jesus. Ask the Holy Spirit to give you the understanding that he wants you to have. This will change how perceive yourself and others. Being in Jesus will refocus your priorities. Things that you thought once to be important will begin to fade in their importance as you grasp being in Jesus. Imagine the great attitude you will carry as you remind yourself that you are in Jesus!

Acts 4:13 (NLT) — 13 The members of the council were amazed when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, for they could see that they were ordinary men with no special training in the Scriptures. They also recognized them as men who had been with Jesus.

You know that your life and circumstances are changing when people recognize you as one who is in Jesus.
