Exodus 6:7 (NLT) — 7 I will claim you as my own people, and I will be your God. Then you will know that I am the Lord your God who has freed you from your oppression in Egypt.

He is God, there is no other. He is matchless. He is sovereign. There is no one higher than the LORD.
When God lays claim to us no one snatches us out of his hand.

Exodus 6:9 (NLT) — 9 So Moses told the people of Israel what the Lord had said, but they refused to listen anymore. They had become too discouraged by the brutality of their slavery.

Discouraged = shortness of spirit. The spirit within had had enough. This is why we need the Spirit of Jesus living in us, the Holy Spirit. He never grows tired or gets worn out. He never slumbers or sleeps. His stamina is always high.

Exodus 6:30 (NLT) — 30 But Moses argued with the Lord, saying, “I can’t do it! I’m such a clumsy speaker! Why should Pharaoh listen to me?”

It is not about me it is about the Spirit of Jesus living through me.

Zechariah 4:6 (NLT) — 6 Then he said to me, “This is what the Lord says to Zerubbabel: It is not by force nor by strength, but by my Spirit, says the Lord of Heaven’s Armies.

Has life worn you down? Have circumstances killed your joy? Has the spirit within you had enough? Now is the time to let the Holy Spirit fill you. Let Him lead you. Let Him help you. Let Him live through you.

“Holy Spirit I have had enough. Please fill me today with your presence, your power and your peace. Thank You.”

Luke 4:1 (NLT) — 1 Then Jesus, full of the Holy Spirit, returned from the Jordan River. He was led by the Spirit in the wilderness,

The wilderness can be a place of victory, nourishment and refreshment when you are led by the Holy Spirit.

  1. Mary Anne Frank says

A few weeks ago I was battling with discouragement . Though I was continuing to pray and read the Word my spirit was getting weaker and weaker. As I cried out to God I felt like I was talking to dead air. And then at the most unlikely place God sent a sister in the Lord to give me words of encouragement. She could not have known my struggles but her words pierced my heart and I found myself ready to get back in the battle with renewed zeal. God knows our hearts and our struggles. His shoulders are broad and He can carry us when we are weak if we cry out to Him. Thank you Jesus that you gave me your Holy Spirit to live in me and give me strength.
