Romans 8:28 (NLT) — 28 And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them.

Yesterday was Super Bowl Sunday. There were many people that wanted to control the outcome of the game. The odds makers in Vegas would have loved to control outcome on the game because they would have shifted the odds in their favor so that they could glean more of the bettor’s money. The guys betting on the game wanted control so that they could walk away never having to work another day in their lives because of their huge winnings. The owners and players from each team wanted to win. And of course each teams loyal fans wanted control the game to get the satisfaction of a win and bragging right for another year.

However no one on earth could control the outcome because no one on earth has ultimate sovereignty. No one on earth could have pulled every together that was needed for a win to happen. Even if the game was rigged there would been too many unseen variables to, without a doubt, secure the win > guys getting thrown out of the game, injuries, the flu bug hitting half the team, referees calls, a change of heart on those expected to throw the game etc.

All of what I just said makes Romans 8:28 such an incredible verse for tells us that God is sovereign. He does have control of the outcome of our lives. Because he is Sovereign he has the ability, power, and authority to cause everything in our lives to work out for good. Nothing can take God by surprise. Nothing can thwart his plan. There isn’t anything that can come up that God isn’t prepared for, Nothing! Absolutely nothing!

Maybe you didn’t enjoy the outcome of the game yesterday; however with what I just told you, you should be able to enjoy the outcome of the rest your life because of God’s sovereignty you know it will work out for your good:) Have a good day.

Deuteronomy 32:39 (NLT) — 39 Look now; I myself am he! There is no other god but me! I am the one who kills and gives life; I am the one who wounds and heals; no one can be rescued from my powerful hand!
