My four year old granddaughter Vesper loves to color pictures, write squiggly lines that represent letter, and draw pictures for me. I hang them on the refrigerator and in my office. They remind me of the love that she has for me. In fact Vesper would do almost anything for Grandpa Dan.

Leviticus 27:29 (NLT) — 29 No person specially set apart for destruction may be bought back. Such a person must be put to death.

This verse is  for us New Testament believers to remind us of the wonderful love that Christ has for us. In the Old Testament a person sentenced to death could not be bought back; the sentence held. But Praise God because of the Cross of Christ we who were under the penalty of death because of our sins were bought back by the blood of Jesus!

Before I spoke a word
You were singing over me
You have been so, so
Good to me
Before I took a breath
You breathed Your life in me
You have been so, so
Kind to me

[Chorus]
Oh, the overwhelming, never-ending, reckless love of God
Oh, it chases me down, fights ’til I’m found, leaves the ninety-nine
I couldn’t earn it
I don’t deserve it
Still You give yourself away
Oh, the overwhelming, never-ending, reckless love of God

[Verse 2]
When I was your foe, still Your love fought for me
You have been so, so
Good to me
When I felt no worth
You paid it all for me
You have been so, so Kind to me

Oh, the overwhelming, never-ending, reckless love of God
Oh, it chases me down, fights ’til I’m found, leaves the ninety-nine
I couldn’t earn it
I don’t deserve it
Still You give yourself away
Oh, the overwhelming, never-ending, reckless love of God

[Bridge]
There’s no shadow You won’t light up
Mountain You won’t climb up
Coming after me
There’s no wall You won’t kick down
No lie You won’t tear down
Coming after me

  1. Mary Anne Frank says:

I’m wondering if there is anyone else out there that can’t wait to be done with Ecclesiastes? I’m sad for Soloman. He was the wisest man in the world and yet in the end because he chose to worship other gods, he lost sight of who God is. Thank you ,Pastor Dan for reminding me today of Who God is and the hope we always have if we follow Him.
