Deuteronomy 2:5 (NLT) — 5 Do not bother them, for I have given them all the hill country around Mount Seir as their property, and I will not give you even one square foot of their land.

The Lord decides who gets what in this life. If you aren’t satisfied with your share go to God and state your case. Be like Caleb’s daughter and ask for more > Joshua 15:18–19 (NLT) — 18 When Acsah married Othniel, she urged him to ask her father for a field. As she got down off her donkey, Caleb asked her, “What’s the matter?” 19 She said, “Give me another gift. You have already given me land in the Negev; now please give me springs of water, too.” So Caleb gave her the upper and lower springs.

Deuteronomy 2:10 (NLT) — 10 (A race of giants called the Emites had once lived in the area of Ar. They were as strong and numerous and tall as the Anakites, another race of giants.

Quit complaining about your troubles. unbelievers have giants in their lives too. They don’t however have the opportunity to approach the throne of grace boldly like we do, they don’t open the Word and get inspiration like we can, and they don’t have the giant killer (Jesus) like we have. We, like they, have problems but unlike them we have access to the Problem Solver!

Deuteronomy 2:22 (NLT) — 22 He had done the same for the descendants of Esau who lived in Seir, for he destroyed the Horites so they could settle there in their place. The descendants of Esau live there to this day.

It is foolish for anyone to brag about what they have done or have when it is God working behind the scenes to help them succeed by giving the intelligence and the ability to make good decisions or the talent to throw a football or come up with a . com company. Every good and perfect gift comes from God.

Deuteronomy 2:25 (NLT) — 25 Beginning today I will make people throughout the earth terrified because of you. When they hear reports about you, they will tremble with dread and fear.’ ”

This is why God commands us not to be afraid because He goes before us arranging in our path what we are to meet. The Lord is our shepherd, right?

Deuteronomy 2:30 (NLT) — 30 “But King Sihon of Heshbon refused to allow us to pass through, because the Lord your God made Sihon stubborn and defiant so he could help you defeat him, as he has now done.

God is sovereign and He is always in control, always. He works things out for our good. He prepares situations to make us strong. Here was a storm brewing to teach his people to trust in Him and to teach them how to fight to win. All that happens is part of God’s divine plan. The person that rejected you was all part of the plan to help you grow, mature, and get to know God better and trust him more. It all happens to bring you to the places God wants you to be. It helps you gain new territory for the kingdom and greater freedom of mobility. Walking without fear is great mobility.

Deuteronomy 2:34 (NLT) — 34 We conquered all his towns and completely destroyed everyone—men, women, and children. Not a single person was spared.

It may have seemed harsh to destroy the children and woman but little sins and pleasing sins are all killers. They need to be destroyed in our lives so that they don’t destroy us. Learning these lessons are of great value to us. Little sins grow up to be big controlling sins.

Deuteronomy 2:36 (NLT) — 36 “The Lord our God also helped us conquer Aroer on the edge of the Arnon Gorge, and the town in the gorge, and the whole area as far as Gilead. No town had walls too strong for us.

Nothing is too difficult for God. No wall can keep God out or His will from being accomplished in our lives.

Deuteronomy 2:37 (NLT) — 37 However, we avoided the land of the Ammonites all along the Jabbok River and the towns in the hill country—all the places the Lord our God had commanded us to leave alone.

Total obedience is required by God. We don’t store up brownie points. Each day is a new day to be lived for the Glory of God! Don’t touch what God says not to touch.
