Mark 9:19 (NLT) — 19 Jesus said to them, “You faithless people! How long must I be with you? How long must I put up with you? Bring the boy to me.”

I believe this was an admonishment to grow up! In the verses before this they were arguing instead of helping. They had seen the many miracles of Jesus and it was time to believe in him and step out and grow in their faith.

Does worry still have a place in your life? Do you find yourself being critical and judgmental? Do you see yourself as a masterpiece or not? Do you grow weary in well doing and praying because you haven’t seen good results yet? Are you still struggling to be disciplined in the area of prayer, studying the word, giving generously, thinking of others as better than yourself etc.? Does it really irk you when people treat you like a servant? Are people bigger to you than God? Do you still compare yourself to others? Are you a fault finder? Is complaining still a big part of your life? Do you feel sorry for yourself? Do you have a few sins that you keep around and feed as pets?

If some of the above statements are true about you what do you think Jesus would say to you right now? I believe he would say to you and me what he said to Philip >

John 14:9 (NLT) — 9 Jesus replied, “Have I been with you all this time, Philip, and yet you still don’t know who I am?…”

When we take the time to really know who Jesus is we will begin to grow up and lose our immaturity. Read the scriptures to know him and believe in him and then step out in obedience because you cannot go beyond what you believe.
