Luke 4:42 (NLT) — 42 …they finally found him, …

One thing that I noticed about Jesus is that he was always willing to be found. It is like when I play Hide-n-Seek with my granddaughters. I don’t hide in very difficult to find places because I really do want to be found by them. And then when they find me we all giggle and laugh and they want to do it again. After a couple of times they want hide and have me find them. So I count to ten and then say, “Ready or not here I come.” Well they are always giggling so it is real easy to find them although I walk by the spot where they are a few times just to make it seem like they chose a good spot.

I believe that Jesus wants to be found and I believe that he is truly happy when we find him. If we had this picture of him giggling and us giggling when He was found wouldn’t it make us all the more eager to find Him? If we really know Him we would know that he is always with us and we really don’t have to go anywhere to find him. I believe it is only those who don’t know him that say, “Where was God when this happened or that took place?” Well he was right there only they didn’t know it because before the incident they never took time to find Him and get to know him.

Remember when He acted like He was going to walk by the disciples when they were in the midst of a storm on the lake? He only did that because he wanted to be found He wanted the to call on his name.(Mark 6:48)

Mark 6:50 (NLT) — 50 They were all terrified when they saw him. But Jesus spoke to them at once. “Don’t be afraid,” he said. “Take courage! I am here!”

Another time when he was going to walk by, John the Baptist shouted out, “Look, there is the Lamb of God.” So when we find people in difficult situations we must say, “Look Jesus is here, call out to Him.” We must also do the same for ourselves.

Take courage He is here.

Jeremiah 29:14 (NLT) — 14 I will be found by you,” says the Lord. “I will end your captivity and restore your fortunes. I will gather you out of the nations where I sent you and will bring you home again to your own land.”

Deuteronomy 4:7 (NLT) — 7 For what great nation has a god as near to them as the Lord our God is near to us whenever we call on him?

Romans 10:20 (NLT) — 20 And later Isaiah spoke boldly for God, saying, “I was found by people who were not looking for me. I showed myself to those who were not asking for me.”
