1 Chronicles 18:13 (NLT) — 13 He placed army garrisons in Edom, and all the Edomites became David’s subjects. In fact, the Lord made David victorious wherever he went.

Do you want the enemy satan and his minions to be subject to you? Do you want to be victorious over the enemy wherever you Go. The key to David’s success was that he had heart after God’s heart. In other words he would do all that God asked of him. He was obedient to the word of God.

Acts 13:22 (NLT) — 22 But God removed Saul and replaced him with David, a man about whom God said, ‘I have found David son of Jesse, a man after my own heart. He will do everything I want him to do.’

The key to living a victorious Christian life is to do all that God wants you to do. Is that so hard? The only time we get defeated in this life is when we disobey the Lord. Adam and Eve were defeated because they disobeyed. David was victorious when he obeyed. The enemy got the best of him when he disobeyed.

Obedience defeats the enemy every time. Are you losing? Where are you not obeying?
