Luke 20:40 (NLT) — 40 And then no one dared to ask him any more questions.

The religious leaders of the day were always putting Jesus on trial with there questions. They were always trying to trip him up so they could discredit him and prove that he was a phony. They were always attacking his deity. They  were always trying to make him look bad in front of the people.

I wonder if we are putting Jesus on trial every time we ask, “Why is this happening to me? Where are you taking me? Why have I not been healed? How come I haven gotten the raise I deserve? What is going on here?”

If Jesus loved me enough to die for me certainly he will do what is best for me, right? Is that a fair assumption? I like what the late great German theologian Dietrich Bonhoeffer said, “The words why, when, where, and how are all words of the faithless. The only word spoken by a man or woman of faith is ‘who.’ And ‘who’ will lead you to Him.”

Romans 8:32 (NLT) — 32 Since he did not spare even his own Son but gave him up for us all, won’t he also give us everything else?
