Psalm 50:1 (NLT) — 1 The Lord, the Mighty One, is God, and he has spoken;

Remember the old E.F. Hutton Commercials? On one of them two guys were out jogging and one guys that his broker says now is a good time to look into tax free income. And then the guys says to the other guy, ” What does your broker say?” And the other guys says, “My broker is E. F. Hutton and he says…” And then the camera pans back from the guys and we see a couple of bicyclists, a motorcycle rider, other joggers, a couple of moms pushing a baby strollers, a hot dog vendor, a few horse back rider, people sitting on a park bench, and they all stop what they are doing, it gets absolutely quite and they all lean in so they can hear what the guy is going to say. And then the commercial ends with a voice saying,  “”When E.F Hutton talks people listen.

Asaph is saying that there is someone greater than E.F. Hutton and we better listen when he speaks.

O that we would be like the people in the E. F. Hutton commercial that when we open our bibles we would tune out everything else and listen to God as He speaks to us through His word. Not listening for content but listening that we might know Him. When we truly know Him as a Father of Love, and embrace that love, our actions will express that love.

The Father considers Himself to  be the  most important voice that will ever speak into our lives because after all Father Knows Best:)

Exodus 15:11 (NLT) — 11 “Who is like you among the gods, O Lord— glorious in holiness, awesome in splendor, performing great wonders?
