Happy Valentines Day!

Proverbs 12:4 (NLT) — 4 A worthy wife is a crown for her husband, but a disgraceful woman is like cancer in his bones.

I believe this verse describes my wife Cleo. Worthy = strong moral character. Cleo always represents the Lord well. She is upright and honest. She is faithful. I never have had to be concerned about Cleo being unfaithful to me, to our family or to the Lord. She doesn’t dress to impress. She is careful with what she wears because she doesn’t want to draw attention to herself or dishonor God with immodesty. She reserves herself only for me. It disgusts her that so many women today have to show so much cleavage. Cleo makes herself attractive by the good things she does.

She is constantly looking for ways to help and to give to others. Cleo is always bringing home items to show me that she felt would be a good gift for someone. She will say, “So and so is going to just love this”. On other occasions she will come home and say, “Dan I got you this because I know it is your favorite”. She is satisfied with little so that she has more to give. If she were a crown I would be honored to wear it.

1 Timothy 2:9–10 (NLT) — 9 And I want women to be modest in their appearance. They should wear decent and appropriate clothing and not draw attention to themselves by the way they fix their hair or by wearing gold or pearls or expensive clothes. 10 For women who claim to be devoted to God should make themselves attractive by the good things they do.

Ladies if you aspire to be anything be Worthy.

Cleo is an inspiration to me. I’m blessed to serve with her at church . And I’m blessed to call her my friend.

Paraphrasing Proverbs: A man who finds a good wife, like Cleo or in my case Kathy, has found a good thing.
