Proverbs 26:12 (NLT) — 12 There is more hope for fools than for people who think they are wise.

This verse seems to imply that there are degrees of foolishness just like there are different degrees of black belts in karate; the highest degree of foolishness is the wise fool. The wise fool is a fool that doesn’t realize he is a fool. He is the one who says that there is no God and man is the one who decides his own way in life >  Only fools say in their hearts, “There is no God.” They are corrupt, and their actions are evil; not one of them does good! Psalm 14:1

The proponents of this New Green Deal are examples of the wise fools. They believe that the world will end in 12 years(according to Ocasio-Cortez) if we don’t get rid of all carbon emissions. They believe that the fate of the world lies in their hands. How foolish is that. They don’t believe in God and consequently they are unaware of these scriptures >

Psalm 65:5–13 (NLT) — 5 You faithfully answer our prayers with awesome deeds, O God our savior. You are the hope of everyone on earth, even those who sail on distant seas. 6 You formed the mountains by your power and armed yourself with mighty strength. 7 You quieted the raging oceans with their pounding waves and silenced the shouting of the nations. 8 Those who live at the ends of the earth stand in awe of your wonders. From where the sun rises to where it sets, you inspire shouts of joy. 9 You take care of the earth and water it, making it rich and fertile. The river of God has plenty of water; it provides a bountiful harvest of grain, for you have ordered it so. 10 You drench the plowed ground with rain, melting the clods and leveling the ridges. You soften the earth with showers and bless its abundant crops. 11 You crown the year with a bountiful harvest; even the hard pathways overflow with abundance. 12 The grasslands of the wilderness become a lush pasture, and the hillsides blossom with joy. 13 The meadows are clothed with flocks of sheep, and the valleys are carpeted with grain. They all shout and sing for joy!

This is God’s world and he will ultimately decide when it comes to an end. Yes we are to be responsible to take care of our environment and we should do it with the wisdom God gives us.

Proverbs 26:13 (NLT) — 13 The lazy person claims, “There’s a lion on the road! Yes, I’m sure there’s a lion out there!”

The lazy person will use any kind of excuse, no matter how outrageous it is to get out of work. What is the most outrageous excuse that you have heard from someone who didn’t want to work? The one I heard recently was, “I don’t like to be micromanaged.” In other words this person was saying that they want to come to work when they want to, take breaks when they want to, do the job how they see it should be done, and leave when something else that they deem more important comes up.

I guess there really are lions on the road!

Proverbs 26:14 (NLT) — 14 As a door swings back and forth on its hinges, so the lazy person turns over in bed.

A door is tied to its hinges and a sluggard is tied to his bed. He is tied to his laziness. A door goes no where and neither does a lazy person. The only effort produced by this person is the effort to avoid work.

Proverbs 26:15 (NLT) — 15 Lazy people take food in their hand but don’t even lift it to their mouth.

Laziness only gets worse. You reap what you sow. Now this person is even too lazy to eat! Eventually his laziness will kill him. God has given me the bible to feed my spirit with. Am I too lazy to open it and feed on it? You?

Proverbs 26:16 (NLT) — 16 Lazy people consider themselves smarter than seven wise counselors.

In other words no matter how good and right on your argument is you are not going to change the mind of a lazy person. He is a ‘man of steel’ when it come to laziness. Laziness distorts ones thinking. the mind also becomes lazy as it tries to justify its actions. The big word that all lazy people come up is ‘entitlement’ or the phrase ‘the world owes me’.
