Ecclesiastes 3:1ā€“8 (NLT) ā€” 1 For everything there is a season, a time for every activity under heaven. 2 A time to be born and a time to die. A time to plant and a time to harvest. 3 A time to kill and a time to heal. A time to tear down and a time to build up. 4 A time to cry and a time to laugh. A time to grieve and a time to dance. 5 A time to scatter stones and a time to gather stones. A time to embrace and a time to turn away. 6 A time to search and a time to quit searching. A time to keep and a time to throw away. 7 A time to tear and a time to mend. A time to be quiet and a time to speak. 8 A time to love and a time to hate. A time for war and a time for peace.

My dear blog readers for some time now I have believed that the season for my blog was coming to an end. I have enjoyed it immensely but of late the joy and the inspiration has diminished. So I am going to take the rest of the summer off from blogging and will reconsider this fall. Thank you for tuning in.

Be inspired Hilltop

  1. Thank you Pastor Dan for over three years of your wonderful insights on God’s word; leading and guiding me through my days with what I used as a great starter for my devotions; giving me ‘real food’ to sort out my troubles and problems and see them differently in the light of eternity; sharing your past and present situations to know you better as a Pastor and fellow believer; for making me laugh, cry, ponder, wonder and be convicted when necessary. I thought it was truly awesome and such a privilege to have you in my home everyday preaching the Word and giving me a message that stuck long after reading it. You (still) have so much to share Pastor Dan and I will be praying that God will show you what is just right for the season you’re now in. You are loved:)

    Pastor Dan,
Thank you for sharing the word of God and your insight every weekday morning. I set aside a bit of my morning, right after the bank deposit, to read the blog and get my day all fired up and ready to roll. I sincerely appreciate all the time and energy that you have put into this daily devotional. May God continue to bless you and Lord willing we will start again in the fall.
